Playing impostor is where the real payoff is. I enjoy playing crew, no doubt, but impostor is what gets my blood flowing. It’s exciting, stressful, and feels incredible to win with, though the odds are against you.

Your goals as impostor, in order, are to:

- Avoid suspicion
- Kill crewmembers
- Frame crewmembers

Avoiding suspicion is the most important part, since you can’t trade 1:1 with crew, so you’ll need to get away with multiple kills per game. The main ways you can do this are as follows:

- Kill someone isolated where their body isn’t found for a while, so you can join a group and have an alibi
- Kill someone with a bunch of people in the vicinity and have them suspect each other (while you claim to be elsewhere)
- Kill someone in a big group and have it be hard for people to tell who killed (especially if lights are out). You’re under suspicion, but if there’s a group of 3-4 people then crew can’t really afford to just pick a random person.
- Kill and report a body (a self-report). This is high risk, as you always become suspicious, but can work if you have a plausible story.
