The game starts by showing each player their role – you are either Crewmate or Impostor. Crewmates have no more info than that, though when there are two Impostors, they do both know each other.
As Crew, you have two victory conditions:
- Finish all your tasks
- Vote all the impostors off
As Impostor, you win if you kill enough crew (or they do – voting crew out happens all the time) such that there are equal amounts of crew and impostors left, or if the crew doesn’t fix an emergency you can trigger.
Both task wins and emergency wins are quite rare – the vast majority of games are won via crew/impostor deaths.
Here you see me, with four tasks assigned. My job is to complete those four tasks, ideally without dying. They will take me all over the ship, which is one of the reasons this game is so awesome. It prompts action, so it’s a combo of figuring out who the bad guys are alongside movement and excitement, making the perfect mix of discussion and gameplay.
